Types of Finishes we perform by spray and hand application:

  • Polyester High Gloss: Wet-Sanded and Hand-Buffed to a mirror finish, this is the world standard for the finest grand pianos and conference tables. Also very appropriate for kitchen and bathroom cabinetry because it seals the wood completely, creating a safe seal from water and solvent-based cleaning chemicals. L.E.E.D.S. Compliant and a Green Finish, it is 99% solids and does not emit odors after it cures. Needs virtually no care or polishing, simply dust it, or if the surface gets really dirty, glass cleaners can be used. We also make and bottle our own polyester cleaning solution that is antistatic, repelling dust and leaving a streak-free shine. Please call our office to order at (800)338-8637

 

  • French Polishing: The original and traditional application of 30-40 coats of organic lacquer and oils with a cloth pad. This method takes a very long time, but the resulting effect is a deep gloss in a very thin, but dense layer of lacquer that we prepare and make ourselves. A French-polished piece needs frequent oiling and care, but shows off natural wood grain and veneer better than any other lacquer or technique.

 

  • Urethane, Varnish, Catalyezed, Pre-Catalyzed, Water-Bourne, Organic, and most other techniques and finishes are available, to our clients' specifincations.
